WHERE:The Coronet Theatre JUDGES:![]() CLARE REDDINGTON In 2007, Clare set up iShed to initiate and support creative technology research and development. Clare’s projects includes Media Sandbox, Light Up Bristol, and the Creative Technology Network. In 2008, Clare moved into the Pervasive Media Studio, a new collaboration between Watershed and HP Labs. Bringing together practitioners and users from diverse backgrounds, the studio explores new forms of mobile and wireless media. Here, Clare spots talents, supports projects, showcases ideas and plays games. ![]() MARC REISBIG Marc Reisbig was born in Norway. He trained in Graphic Design at St Martin’s College of Art in London, graduating in 2004. In the same year he formed animation and design collective SSSR with fellow St Martin’s graduates Yu Sato and Kristian Hammerstad. SSSR’s distinctive and characterful work uses elements of illustration, computer animation and physical objects. SSSR joined Passion Pictures in 2005 and has directed both music videos and commercials including spots for Oxfam and United Airlines. Working independently of SSSR, Marc recently collaborated with illustrator Hanne Berkaak to make a music video for Of Montreal. ![]() MATT CLARK Matthew Clark is Creative Director and founding partner of United Visual Artists, a London-based art and design practice that creates responsive, immersive and sculptural light-based environments. In 2006, UVA's ‘Volume’, a luminous interactive installation at the V&A, London, won a D&AD Yellow Pencil and was selected for the ‘Designs of the Year’ show at the Design Museum. Recent projects for UVA include the responsive installation ’Contact’, commissioned for the opening of the UKJP08 programme by the British Council. ![]() ROB CHIU Chiu under the alias of The Ronin has worked for clients such as Leica, BBC, Greenpeace, Channel 4, EMI and Nokia. His short films have been featured in a number of film festivals gaining awards along the way. He regularly speaks at design conferences and universities around the world. Inspired by film, travel, and music, Chiu is currently represented by New York based Curious Pictures. ![]() SIMON ROBSON Simon started in graphic design and interactive design in 2000 after dropping out of his college degree. He quickly went freelance, specialising in animation. In 2004 Simon completed his first short film, ‘What Barry Says’, which won best animation at the Brooklyn International Film Festival and Portobello Film Festival. In 2007 he directed animation for the BAFTA-nominated ‘Taking Liberties’. Simon is currently beginning production on his next animated short film, a collaboration with academic and philosopher Tim Rayner. He is signed to Nexus Productions as a commercials director.
