RAQUEL ALLEGRA Raquel is a LA-based fashion designer; her t-shirt line can be found in top boutiques. Raquel’s current line of designs features vintage pieces redesigned with a modern interpretation, while keeping their original soul. These designs have been featured in Lucky Magazine and on celebrities - Nichole Richie, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Biel, Sofia Bush, Mary Kate, Britney Spears, and Lisa Presley.
DARIO ANTONIONI Dario has been featured in several magazines like GQ to Wallpaper, while Surface Magazine paid Antonioni tribute as a featured designer in its prestigious T.A.G. Event. He’s exhibited his furniture at the most important international design shows around the world. In every case, Antonioni fuses technology, art and design, with the overarching intent to revolutionize the way we live.
STUART KARTEN Stuart Karten founded SKD in 1984 and sits on the advisory board to the USC master’s program in Medical Device and Diagnostic Engineering. Stuart is named by their magazine as one of 100 Notable People in the industry, and has won more than 70 of the industry’s most important design awards globally. In 2008, Fast Company magazine named SKD one of America’s top five “Design Factories.”
SCOTT ROBERTSON Scott founded Design Studio Press, a company dedicated to art and design education. His first book Concept Design 1, is a collection of artwork by seven artists. All seven artists reunited for Concept Design 2, including fourteen designers. Scott has art-directed 240 illustrations for Mattel’s Hot Wheels AcceleRacers, and is the Chair of Entertainment Design at Art Center College of Design. LOS ANGELES TEAM:
HEATHER THOMPSON Ten years in the entertainment industry can make anyone a corporate whore, but not true of this pr/marketing/events lassie. Bocce enthusiasts, cigar aficionado and mixologist (alcohol and vinyl) are just a few hats this future skipper likes to wear. Heather is only a hater when it comes to mayonnaise and is a lover of the other white meat.
JAKE MAYMUDES Born from hippies, raised by a pack of wolves along with Franz Kafka. Loves to love, digs all things film. Believes gravity pushes rather than pulls.
KELLY NICHOLS Freelance print and interactive designer. Bred tall and fast on the limestone rich hills of Kentucky. Interests include: photography, bourbon and developing alternative weather analyses for the greater Los Angeles area.
PHILIP LEVIE Before moving to Los Angeles in 2005, he was the literary manager for the Drama Desk award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre in NYC . An MFA graduate from the Producers Program at the UCLA Film School, Philip has worked with Double Feature Films, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Paramount Vantage and Mike Tollin Productions. He co-produced the inaugural Cut & Paste Los Angeles in 2006.
