TOMMY ALFSON
Student of Design

One of the rare, true natives to Portland, Tommy spent his youth building forts and hunting with BB guns.  Currently working in the world of interior design, while in his final term of the Design Management program at the Art Institute of Portland, he has enjoyed a varied background ranging from graphic design and photography, to styling (The North Face, Ann Taylor, Hurley, Adidas, Nike, Yamaha) and a brief stint making street signs.  Tommy is the one who always gets asked to cook, taps to the beat, never the first one to arrive, can taste the difference, and could wear a different pair of shoes everyday for a month.

A veteran of pop culture biz (Capitol Records, Grand Royal/Beastie Boys, DC Shoes, etnies, and Red Bull), Piney founded milk milk (a marketing collective) in 2006 to do what she loves best – connect people. AMANDA KRAFFT
currently unemployed and totally awesome

Born and raised in Alaska (no, she doesn't know Sarah Palin), Amanda is new to the design world with a background in nonprofit work and an uncanny talent for making friends. When she isn't drinking caramel lattes you can find her rippin' up the dance floor, pouring over magazines, and hanging out with her twin sister.

PORTLAND

This nook in the Northwest, the City of Roses, is the new bohemia.

One of the greenest cities in the world, small-town charm and radical thinking have turned Portland, Oregon, into a creative hotspot. Over the years, Stumptown’s become a central haven for independent thinkers with a quirk and a twist, producing some of the most darkly observant and refreshingly honest talents of our time (e.g., Chuck Pahlahniuk, Miranda July, Gus Van Sant, Matt Groening). Portland rocked when Cut&Paste first visited during the 2007 tournament, and we’re looking forward to whatever kinds of crazy it’s got in store for 2009.
