WHERE:Club Womb JUDGES:![]() ICHIRO TANIDA With more than 30 commercials to his credit each year, Tanida-san is known for his unique use of computer generated images and original character designs. His clients include Sony, Toyota, NTT DoCoMo and Xbox. In his spare time, you can catch him carving wood, oil-painting, taking photos and organizing exhibitions. ![]() JUNJI KOJIMA Since founding teevee graphics in 1995, Kojima-san has crossed multiple genres producing a series of memorable original works, commercials and broadcast designs. His trophy shelf includes an unlikely combination of the Resfest 2003 Audience Choice Award, All Japan Radio & Television Commercial Federation 2006 Bronze Award and Space Shower Music Video Award for the Best Pop Video. Globally, he is best known for his hit collaboration with Rahmens comedy group “Sushi: The Japanese Tradition.” The video garnered more than 2 million hits on YouTube. ![]() KOICHIRO TSUJIKAWA Koichiro Tsujikawa began his professional life in graphic design and moved into directing in the late 1990s. He’s well known in music video circles for his longstanding collaboration with musician Keigo Oyamada (aka Cornelius) for whom he has produced many videos. Along with many more music videos for various artists, Tsujikawa has also directed commercials for Tower Records, Sony Ericsson, Hitachi and Smirnoff. Tsujikawa’s most recent project is Kimagure Robot, an adaptation of a story by acclaimed science fiction writer Shinichi Hoshi. ![]() SHINYA NAKAJIMA A graduate of Musashino Art University, Nakajima made his debut in TV commercial industry in 1983. He is at the heart of the creative team at OMNIBUS JAPAN, Tohoku-Shinsha’s digital production house that spearheaded adoption of latest visual technologies by Japanese advertisement industry. Nakajima is an executive managing director and member of the board at Tohoku-Shinsha. ![]() TAKESHI NAKAMURA Since founding CAVIAR in 2000, Nakamura-san has directed music videos for Air, Towa Tei and J-Pop elite such as Namie Amuro, Rip Slyme, Hirai Ken and Chemistry. He has worked with electronics heavies such as Sony, Toshiba, Hitachi, LG and Panasonic and received recognition at the New York Festival, Resfest, ACC CM Festival and Japan Media Arts Festival. Upon graduating form Tama Art University in 2008, he began working in a company producing television commercials. In his short career as a motion graphics designer Saito has received many awards, including the Special Jury Prize in 2006 MTV SO-ZO Competition, Station ID division; 2007 Grand Prix in World Doga Grand Prix 2007 sponsored by Parco City; 317th and 340th NHK Digital Stadium, Best Selection; 10th TBS DigiCon6 Awards, Encouragement Award; Finalist of the 9th NHK DigiStadium. Saito is currently a freelance producer and animator. Shunsuke Saito ![]() SEIICHIRO OMORI Seiichiro is a freelance creator whose portfolio spans animation, direction, logo and web design and more. His memorable animated characters have lent their bubbly power in promotions for Converse, SMAPXSMAP and many others. Seiichiro is a recipient of Japan Media Arts Festival's Recommendation Awards in Art and Manga divisions and Wavy Awards 2004-2005 Prize for Excellence in Animation division. He also took the top prize at Biz-R feat Short Short Film Festival 2008, Animation division.
