2D DESIGN

3D DESIGN

MOTION DESIGN

Cut&Paste is making room for some hot models this year. And everyone will be watching to see which one takes home the prize. Because for 2009, 3D Design is hopping on stage, where eight competitors will design and render these beauties before your very eyes.

Open to designers of various disciplines, including industrial, concept, and character designers as well as architects and—who knows?—creatively inclined engineers, the addition of the 3D Design competition makes the 2009 Tournament our most spatially savvy yet.

This is a two-round competition, with each round lasting 20 minutes. All four designers will compete in both rounds, fighting to the finish in hopes of winning the Grand Prize and a berth at the Global Championship. Competitors will be evaluated for each round. Based on overall performance, a winner will be named after final round judging.

CONTESTANT SELECTION

  • Entries received during the Call for Competitors period will be reviewed by Cut&Paste.
  • Top entrants will be invited to participate in Test Rounds, a weekend event where prospective competitors will perform in a simulated 20-minute design round for an audience of local Cut&Paste team members and peers.
  • Four (4) competitors will be selected per city and announced on the website in advance of the tournament event.
